Canon Rebel Remote Shutter Release

I recently ordered a remote shutter release for my camera (Canon Rebel XS).  It's an essential accessory for the star trail photography that I'd talked about here as well as macro work.  Not to mention self portraits and anything low light where camera shake is an issue.  My aim is to get out and use it for some start trail work initially.  Can't wait!

Stop Motion

I've been experimenting with stop motion film/photography this past week or so.  Here's the first of a couple that I'm going to post.  It's just a quick short that I made on Saturday night with some of my kids' alphabet blocks.

Caterpillar

We were out for a family walk in the coulees the other day and came across the caterpillar pictured below.  I didn't have my macro tubes with me and it's not my best picture ever, but he was so intricately patterned that I had to take his picture.  He was huge too!  He was at least 3.5 - 4 inches long.
